Vilhelm Buchaus is a Stockholm-based singer, guitarist and songwriter whose music combines guitar-driven pop and rock with emotionally direct storytelling. He introduced himself as a solo artist with First Cut in 2023 and continued to develop his sound through a series of increasingly expansive releases.
In 2025, Vilhelm released his debut EP Quiet Rooms and debut album Shades of Blue. The same year, he made his Melodifestivalen debut with I’m Yours, followed by a return to the competition in 2026 with Hearts Don’t Lie.
Later in 2026, Vilhelm opened a new chapter with Hipp Hurra, his first Swedish-language release, followed by the more intimate and introspective Stockholm. Alongside the new music, he joined Roxette at Slottsskogsvallen in Gothenburg for their only Swedish show of the tour – his biggest live performance outside Melodifestivalen to date. Together, these releases and performances mark a more personal and confident phase in Vilhelm’s evolving solo project.
